HTC 10 bets on speed, battery life and shake-free selfie camera

Taiwanese manufacturer expects latest flagship Android Smartphone is going to solve the problems of the user, and switch on again the competition with Samsung and Apple

HTC 10 bets on speed

The HTC, manufacturer of the first Android phone, is betting on speed, the duration of the battery and the first optically stabilized self-portrait camera in the world with its new flagship of HTC phone 10 hoping to relaunch the company.

So the latest in his long line of high-end smartphones Android seems the best of the rest with a body completely of metal, glass front, HD Quad 5.2in, 0, 2-second release of the fingerprint scanner, the latest high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and USB-C.

HTC’s manufacturer build-quality and premium materials have always been top flight, but recent flagship phones have been uninspiring, failing to attract buyers, something the company must address.

So the Celebrating a decade of making smartphones, Head of product marketing for HTC said: (We appreciate that in recent years we haven’t been great. If you ask most people where we’ve failed, it’s been our cameras. We’re going to be better, faster and solve problems).

The HTC 10 has a new 12 megapixel bent (UltraPixel 2) camera after large pixels of the company, the low lighting technology was first introduced with the HTC One M7 in 2013. Account with a 0.6 seconds of time of commissioning, laser auto-focus and f1 0.8 opening, which the company said that they have to compete with the best in performance in low light of Samsung.

Sense 8.0

But HTC is also taking a new approach to its customisation of Android, called Sense, removing duplicate apps and bloat from the phone and optimising the software so that apps launch faster, the touchscreen responds faster and the device lasts longer between charges. It has also introduced freestyle homescreen customisation options that allow users to place icons or stickers for apps and actions anywhere on the screen, at any size or orientation, rather than in a fixed grid layout.

So the company said it worked with Google to add support for more image formats to the photos of Android-maker application, as well as to optimise both HTC and Google applications on your Smartphone, HTC 10 will also have the company’s Boost+ app that promises to combat phone slowdown - a common criticism of smartphones over a year old - and keep the phone running as fast as when it was first switched on.

HTC has also added support for Apple AirPlay audio streaming service, becoming one of the first manufacturers of Android to do so, through your HTC Connect application, which is compatible with wide variety of wireless transmission protocols including Bluetooth, DLNA, Google Cast, Miracast and others.

Whether HTC can recover a strong implantation in the highly competitive market is seen. It was recently removed from the Taiwan stock exchange list top 50 after years of decreased sales and revenues. Company has bet big in its association with valve for the live virtual reality headset, as well as partnerships with the manufacturer of American sportswear Under Armour for portable devices.

Instagram unveils new logo, but it's not quite picture perfect | TheNews Linzer

Photo sharing app unveils new sunset-coloured logo and a sleeker in-app look, but opinion is mixed Instagram, the photo sharing app owned by Facebook, responsible for such cultural highlights as hot-dog legs, The Fat Jewish memes and Rich Kids of, well, Instagram, has debuted a new logo. The previous one, a retro-looking camera, and one of the most recognisable tech logos out there, has been replaced by a background swirl of sunset colours (orange, yellow, pink, purple) and a white outline of a camera. As if the camera was murdered, and chalk was drawn around its body. Murdered at sundown. Here it is: The new logo was announced via a blog post, a longer post on Medium from head of design, Ian Spalter, and also a short introductory film. The kind that is usually intensely annoying, but actually this one is quite cute (warning though: the end has a lot of flashing and intense colours). Continue reading...
