Instagram playboy reveals why he’s risking his life for $600K | The Reporter25

Dan Bilzerian is betting big on a feat which, for the majority, would easily end up with a trip to the emergency room. The multimillionaire showy a shooting gun, High Stakes Poker playing Instagram King who is often photographed with scantily clad women draped in his body torn bet $ 600,000 that he can ride a bicycle from his home in the Hollywood Hills to California sign Las Vegas within 40 hours.

This is no joke, Bilzerian says the post. The 35-year-old has 293 miles to cover if he wants to win. Nobody does that. LA to Las Vegas I have a rise of 13000 feet that is (almost) half of Mount Everest, but I wanted a challenge.

The challenge is the operative word. Bilzerian, at just under 5 feet 10 and 200 pounds, doesn't have the physical from the classic biker and has not gone well for nearly two decades. He calculates that, before starting to prepare in mid-February (one day after the bet has been made), he had spent less than 20 hours in a two-wheeled vehicle in your life.

Over the course of training, the most I put together (at the same time) is 53 miles in 4 and a half hours, says Bilzerian, who is no stranger to Wacky bets; He once bet $ 3000 that he could win a round of play tennis without a racket, and ran the Shelby Cobra (pictured above) against a Ferrari for $ 384,000 (Bilzerian triumphed in both).

On the other side of the chain's gas Bill merchant daring Perkins, who started the bet in a game of high stakes poker. Perkins have a penchant for kicking out strange propositions: he once offered $ 500,000 Bilzerian if he would work as a parking attendant at a casino for a month (Bilzerian turned it down).

The mogul originally offered his bet to another player at the table, Rick Salomon (famous for the notorious co_starring video sex Paris Hilton 2001). Salomon turned him down, and a couple of days later, little Bilzerian. Perkins couldn't be happier. I can follow him in an RV, and it's going to be a psychological torture to Dan, says the 47-year-old.

Bilzerian, son of corporate raider Paul Bilzerian (who was convicted of securities violations in 1989 tax_law), grew up in Tampa, Florida. In 1999, a year after receiving his GED (he was expelled from school in his senior year after he was arrested for possession of a machine gun), Bilzerian joined the Navy, was dismissed in 2003 and finally he attended the University of a Florida, where he majored in business and Criminology. It was there, Bilzerian says, he broke playing poker online before you get serious about the game.

To 25 years, while still attending college, Bilzerian suffered a heart attack in Las Vegas Bellagio hotel after being awake for four days and nights with a mix of cocaine and Viagra. He says he took a taxi to the hospital, tried to jump the line waiting room with a bribe of $ 10000, failed at that, and ended up being handled by Conrad Murray, the doctor who was later found guilty of the manslaughter of Michael Jackson.

Just two years later, in 2007, Bilzerian was a presence in the High Stakes Poker in Nevada, where players remember him showing up with a Briefcase full of money. He earned him a nickname; Suitcase Guy. He says he earned his money playing poker but admitted to the Wall Street Journal that he received the money in a trust, which, according to him, kicked him to 35 years.

Bilzerian moved to Las Vegas in 2009 and became notorious for blowing things up in the desert, flying in private jets, fast cars and engage in gambling nosebleed. He claims to have once lost $ 2.3 million in a lottery. Such outrageous stories and photos to go with them have earned him 16.3 million Instagram followers.

But nowadays, it's your training regimen that fills your feed of Instagram. In preparation, Bilzerian has reduced their intake of carbohydrates by 30%, increasing fat in the same amount.

I eat five egg whites and two yolks, oatmeal, fruit and almond butter. So I take a zinc, vitamin C and probiotics, he says of his breakfast, he routinely eat in 13:00 1 hour later, I ride in Red Rock Canyon (outside of Las Vegas) for 4 and a half hours. Then, back home, I have an ice bath and an Epsom Salt bath, get a massage, eat again, and that's my day.

My legs hurt, my Achilles is clicking, my ass is bruised and I lost six pounds.

Fortunately, Bilzerian has an ACE in the hole in the former Pro cyclist Lance Armstrong, who is giving you training tips, covering rhythm, balance, change, and find positions of the hands and the body ideal.

Bill heard that Lance is helping me and offered him a bet; Lance would have to make the trip LA-to-Vegas in 15 hours, says Bilzerian. Lance was considered but refused.

If he gets injured to the point that he cannot complete the ride, going at the end of this month, Bilzerian loses $ 600,000. Even if he doesn't get hurt, the done won't be easy; by comparison, the first two days of the Tour de France cover only 202 miles. Bilzerian can't use engines or tow cables, but he can walk if your legs or bicycles.

Bilzerian says it plans to spend about $ 125,000 in equipment, vans Chase and support staff, including bike technicians, a doctor, two chefs, instructor, masseur and an Assistant. Win or lose, he will have $ 25000 for charity child cancer Armstrong, and if he is victorious, he will use US $ 350,000 to cover a loss of recent poker.

And he plans to do everything you can to increase your chances; I'm going to have a dozen bicycles in one of the vans, and can get a giant tricycle in case your legs hang. I could take Provigil, which is what fighter pilots use to stay focused, he adds. (Says Perkins; Dan can take any drug that he wants me to think this is the worst bet Dan's ever done, he can die.)

Win or lose (but not dead), Bilzerian, figures the recovery promises to be brutal. Predict home and will be surprised if there are skin stays on my ass. You hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

Over 40M people of Irish descent are in the United States, 8x more than the population of Ireland

The Irish people (Irish: Muintir na hÉireann or Na hÉireannaigh) are a nation and ethnic group native to the island of Ireland, who share a common Irish ancestry, identity and culture. Ireland has been inhabited for about 9,000 years according to archaeological studies (see Prehistoric Ireland). For most of Ireland's recorded history, the Irish have been primarily a Gaelic people (see Gaelic Ireland). Anglo-Normans conquered parts of Ireland in the 12th century, while England's 16th/17th century (re)conquest and colonization of Ireland brought a large number of English and Lowland Scots to parts of the island, especially the north. Today, Ireland is made up of the Republic of Ireland (an independent state), and the smaller Northern Ireland (a part of the United Kingdom). The people of Northern Ireland hold various national identities; including Irish, Northern Irish, British, or some combination thereof. The Irish have their own customs, language, music, dance, sports, cuisine,

TIL the first animal to ask an existential question was from a parrot named Alex. He asked what color he was, and learned that it was "grey".

Alex (1976 – 6 September 2007) was an African grey parrot and the subject of a thirty-year (1977–2007) experiment by animal psychologist Irene Pepperberg, initially at the University of Arizona and later at Harvard University and Brandeis University. When Alex was about one year old, Pepperberg bought him at a pet shop. The name "Alex" was a backronym for avian language experiment, or avian learning experiment. Before Pepperberg's work with Alex, it was widely believed in the scientific community that a large primate brain was needed to handle complex problems related to language and understanding; birds were not considered to be intelligent, as their only common use of communication was mimicking and repeating sounds to interact with each other. However, Alex's accomplishments supported the idea that birds may be able to reason on a basic level and use words creatively. Pepperberg wrote that Alex's intelligence was on a level similar to dolphins and great apes. S
